We aimed for this lamp to break down the "sense of distance associated with historical architecture," condensing the Colosseum's epic grandeur and architectural aesthetics into a "miniature totem of civilization" for the desktop. As light diffuses through the texture of the arches, it feels as though the clamor of the Roman Empire and the millennia-old tales of the Colosseum are brought into daily life, preserving a "homeland of classical civilization" that evokes reflection and resonance.

In the heart of Rome, Italy, the Colosseum stands in monumental stone, narrating a two-thousand-year imperial epic. Its layered arches and weathered silhouette are an "architectural monument" dedicated by the ancient Romans to their era. Having endured wars, earthquakes, and the passage of time, every brick and stone is inscribed with the narrative of power and the architectural wisdom of the Roman Empire.

We envisioned a "modern history chaser," captivated by the epic aesthetics and historical essence of the Colosseum, yet lamenting its distant presence in Rome, which makes it difficult to keep close. Thus, with meticulous craftsmanship, they recreated the iconic silhouette of the Colosseum, using light as a messenger to shrink that "imperial landmark by the Tiber" into an artistic object that fits in the palm of one’s hand.
